UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE GRAND PALAIS FOR PARIS PHOTO 2024
It’s now 25 years since I completed my studies in advertising photography in Belgium. I went in to be a fashion photographer, and came out as a portrait photographer. Then I photographed hundreds of babies and their families, in Belgium and New York, and finally, in 2011, I began my underwater photography adventure in earnest… The key word in all this Passion.
I was soon visiting art and photography fairs such as Fotofever , Unseen, Haute Photographie and of course the holy grail, the important and highly prized Paris Photo, the top of the range as we would say in Belgium. I dreamed of seeing my underwater photographs exhibited there, but as the Italian probverb says, « chi va piano, va sano…
But on this October 15, 2024, I’m very proud to announce that this year, my work will be represented at the Grand Palais in Paris.
My friend and artist Bart Ramaker has invited me to join them in their stand at Paris Photos 2024, an exhibition on the theme of “water”. Galerie Papillon in Ostend and Galerie Beaudoin Lebon in Paris are offering me this gift. I hope to see you there, and I’ll be present at the opening on November 6 at 2 p.m. and all day on November 7.
